Likely a fine. However, the scammer probably has other victims which could come into the calculus.tkt234 wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 8:34 amI recently paid for a huuto.net item with paypal and did not receive item I bought + seller is not responding to my e-mails.
Amount was 95,9 euros.
I got my money back when I made a paypal item not received case.
Paypal has buyer protection.
But I have question - in Finland what is the punishment if you scam someone for 95,9 euros? If this will be taken to police.
What does the Finnish law say about this?
Just a fine?
"Section 3 - Petty fraud (769/1990)
If the fraud, when assessed as a whole, with due consideration to the benefit sought or the amount of loss caused or to the other circumstances connected with the offence, is to be deemed petty, the offender shall be sentenced for petty fraud to a fine."
