Hi,

I have question regarding annual holidays and quit job in IT company.

For example: I have 30 days annual leave which starts from March 2019 - March 2020. If I quit in September 2019 then can I get paid for leaves or those would not be counted because I did not finish whole year.

How does it work normally in companies in Finland or TES rules or as per law in Finland.

The question is incomplete, did you commence your employment in March 2019? Actually the calculation is pretty simple, your earn vacation days every month, but formally you get the right to spend the earned vacation after a certain day of the year, the latter is defined by the company for all employees.

For instance if you started a new job from March 1, 2019 and your last day in the company is August 31, 2019, and you do not take any vacation days during this period, then you'll receive a compensation for 12 unused days of vacation or 12/25 of your average monthly salary, also note that likely the payment will be delayed for one month after the termination of employment, i.e. you'll get a payslip/money transfer as if you work in September, 2019.
