Hello everyone.... my residence permit application for family ties just got approved today and it says I will receive the card in 1-2weeks at my house address.
I would like to know after I receive the card, what is next to go for? Bank account? ID card? I would like to know more.
First residence permit approved
Re: First residence permit approved
I guess it's really relative. My wife doesn't have a bank account, we use only one, I get my salary there and she gets Kela benefits on the same account. ID card makes your life easier for online handling of public services, but you can do them anyway personally without the ID card.Ousman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:36 amHello everyone.... my residence permit application for family ties just got approved today and it says I will receive the card in 1-2weeks at my house address.

When my wife moved to Finland I made a list of TODO-things, again, I guess it depends on what you are going to do in Finland and what is your situation, but here it goes:
- Phone subscription
- Register your municipality of residence
- Tax card
- Kela
- Neuvola (if you have kids)
- ID card (we decided that this is not needed and didn't apply for one)
- Bank account (we decided that we can manage with only one)
- Driving license exchanging (foreign license for finnish license)
- HSL Travel card if you live in the HSL area.
- Registered as unemployed/job seaker
- Language courses
