Can OP bank return hug money to sender

My brother's wife transfered 20.000.00€ into my bank account, for me to help her buy cheap electronics, she wanna start a business with it. But i am too busy with my studies, so i want to return the exact amount she sent to my acct, is it possible with OP bank? And would they ask some much questions or think i am fraud because of the hug amount...

You can do a wire transfer using transferwise.com if your bank doesn't offer that facility online.

I quickly checked their FAQ: it didn't really have this exact scenario. It just suggested that if you received money that you weren't supposed to you can contact the sender and tell them to ask their bank to start an investigation, however in this case you know full well what the money was for.

Not sure if they're going to ask you questions but I do know it won't hurt to try.

You will likely be questioned at some point about the money and have to provide documentation as to the source of funds. This happened to me but it was easy for me to document where it came from. The paper demanded documentation with info 5 days and came about 10 months after the money arrived in my account.

Finally OP ask for source of funds, but I don't have any. And my bank acc is temporary block, what should I do? And it has a deadline, what happen after the deadline, can't they return the money to the sender themself...

They will need the source of founds for your brother. If you don't answer in time they will probably report it as money laundering to police and money will be gone.

Hmm really? So what do they need from the sender? I will try to prove it, I told they earlier to refund the money to the sender. Will I get arrested for this or they will just take the money?

Neither. If one could get arrested by transferring 20k€ to their account, rich people would prank each other daily.

Rich people always have their sources of income clear if they use banks. If you and your brother wife cannot show the source of the money, they will get oversuspicious. Someone is sending 20k to Finland to buy cheap electronics. Do you think they really believe that story? Why don't buy it from aliexpress or similar sites?

Also they are interested to know if these money shall be reported to tax office, as for example if you get a gift or inheritance from someone you need to pay tax from it.
