You can see from Migri's website that they give different weight to different banks: "When applying for an extended permit, a deposit in a Finnish bank account is the easiest and most reliable way to show that you have secure means of support."
https://migri.fi/en/means-of-support
"An alien’s means of support are considered secure at the time when the alien’s first residence permit is issued if the alien’s residence is financed through gainful employment, pursuit of a trade, pensions, property or income from other sources considered normal so that the alien cannot be expected to become dependent on social assistance referred to in the Act on Social Assistance (1412/1997) or on other similar benefit to secure his or her means of support. Social security benefits compensating for expenses are not regarded as such a benefit."

Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION
Er, that means the statement should have been incomplete application, or missing components of an application - requesting an action or evidence. NOT fraudulent evidence (and thereby the implication the applicant is a fraudster).betelgeuse wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:40 pmMoving the money to Europe also removes the currency risks. The applicant needs to show sufficient evidence that there are enough euros available for the duration of the residence permit. Due to the single market, Migri is not allowed to give preferential treatment to a Finnish licensed operator over European ones.
Lack of documentation = request for documentation / evidence. Not rejecting the application. Not claiming fraud.betelgeuse wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:40 pmShould have added this too: "The applicant shall submit to the authorities a statement on how his or her means of support will be secured in Finland."
Yep, it is! What's the big deal?
Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION
That is the thing. They are quick to give a negative decision which is baseless. And to sum it all up,they actually cited figures which are not on the bank statement provided. So besides them 'assuming' that the bank statements are 'fake',they also cited monies, huge monies in Millions which dont appear anywhere on the bank statement, more of cooked figures.suomynona.yllatot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:44 pmEr, that means the statement should have been incomplete application, or missing components of an application - requesting an action or evidence. The statement was complete with a Justification of each and every deposit.
I don't negate the fact that certain statements are or seem fraudulent, but if some are clarified beyond reasonable doubt, then surely I doubt there is a reason to still assume that they are fake.
So we are going the appeal way, even if it takes long,Migri needs to clarify its point on assuming the BS' re fake.
Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION
This was provided, fully with a brief explanation- to the point of each deposit that might have raised an eyebrow. But still - that wasn't good enough. So it's a wait and see.betelgeuse wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:42 pmShould have added this too: "The applicant shall submit to the authorities a statement on how his or her means of support will be secured in Finland."betelgeuse wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:41 pmThey ask it because of section 39 of the Aliens Act.suomynona.yllatot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:39 pm

Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION
Ideally so. However, if the goal is to get the residence permit (and not to, for example, try and stick it to them to prove a point) with the least effort, moving the money to Europe is an easy way to get credibility to an appeal or new application.suomynona.yllatot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:44 pmEr, that means the statement should have been incomplete application, or missing components of an application - requesting an action or evidence. If there is a legal definite demand, please point me to the Chapter and section in the Aliens Act! If there isn't one, is there a link between Migri and the banks to pull money in?

Hmmm, nothing came through. Can you use the PM function on the board itself?
Yep, it is! What's the big deal?
Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION
Why fight the system? Just transfer the amount of money required into a Finnish bank account until you get approval and then transfer it back to the original bank. The transfer fees are substantially less that the costs of fighting this thing.
