I applied for a Finnish permanent residence permit back in August as my current one (work permit, type A) expires next week. Today I rang Migri and what I found out made me very worried (and stressed!) indeed - they said it may take another 6-7 months for my application to be processed. I'm at a loss. I have lived in Finland for over 10 years, been in my current job for 5 and I cannot believe this is happening. There is no proper info anywhere, no way to find out exactly how long it will take. I have travels planned and paid for at the start of the year which is just adding to the stress. I simply cannot believe how bad Migri's service is. When I went to prove my identity back in August, they told me the process wouldn't take more than 8 weeks....
Anyone else in the same boat as me?
