Small Finnish translation needed

Post by jack2012 » Sat Apr 11, 2020 10:19 am

Hi,

My neighbor is noisy in night. I want to leave him small note in Finnish something like "Please respect neighbor's sleep" or "Please respect sleep of neighbors". What is correct Finnish translation?

Kiitos :)

Translation would be "Kunnioitathan naapureidesi unta".

Would probably be good to add that you are hearing noise and therefore cannot sleep ("Teiltä kuuluu öisin häiritsevää melua" or something along those lines). Even better if you can be more specific about the type of noise they're making, as it may be that the neighbor does not realize the sound of their activity is carrying into other apartments. Whether it's running the washing machine, vacuuming, music being played, loud discussion,... whatever.
