Recently I got a 1-year working permit from Migri despite my contract states that I have a permanent employment. Before I possessed student's permits. My friend is in the same situation, he studied in Finland like me, he works in the same company and on the same position but he got a 4-year working permit, which is even not restricted to a particular field of working. Could you explain why two persons with the same background get working permits of different durations? Should I appeal the decision?
2 applications are not the same, cannot be compared. So if you permit is linked with your job, is it a B permit? If it's B you may get next year A for 1 year and then after A for 4 years. If permit is A, you may get next year A for 4 years. I don't think the is law saying for how many years they issue the permits. It's their decision based on the application.
