A friend works as a "sijainen". She can get usually a gross salary of between 2500-3000€ per month. But this is seasonal.
Sometimes, she thinks to register as unemployment, just in case there is not so many jobs and she can get unemployment benefit from a trade union.
At the same time, she is not so sure about the pension in future.
She knows that she pays a lot of tax, unemployment, and pension insurance every month. She is still asking: Will the unemployment benefit she will get now affect the pension she can get after retirement?
Does unemployment benefit affect retirement pension?

Re: Does unemployment benefit affect retirement pension?
Earning-based unemployment benefit is counted as 75% of its sum towards pension (whereas salary would be 100%). The base part of the unemployment benefit does not count towards pension. Obviously it's better to have the unemployement benefit if the alternative is to have no income at all. Tell your friend to learn to Google, "työttömyyskorvaus eläke" and she would've had the answer right there
