English speaking Speech and Language Therapist seeking job

Hello all,

I am a native English speaker that does not currently speak Finnish. I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in the UK, where I currently live. I have American citizenship. I am hoping to be able to work in Finland as a SLT at some point as my long term partner lives in Finland and we plan to reside there together in the next year.

From what I understand, I need to apply to be licensed through Valvira prior to being able to practice in Finland.

I am looking for any insight on where to find/search for jobs in my field. I know it is quite niche to solely speak English as an SLT in Finland. I do actively try to learn Finnish and would enrol in courses upon moving to FInland, though I don't believe I would be able to practice in Finnish for a very very long time. I have been looking at international schools, but am unsure on how to find vacancies. If any one has any insight, I would be grateful for a response.

Do you have experience as an SLT in Finland? I have read that English speaking SLTs work in international schools so I assumed that the language requirement was meant for those wishing to practice in both Finnish and English.

This is such an old post- but I would love to know if you were ever able to get certified to practice SLT here? I am in the same position - have a master's in SLT from Ireland and trying to figure out whether my credentials will be accepted here (once I pass the language test).
Any experience or insight would be very helpful
