I would like to apply for a residence permit as self-employed (toiminimi). I am in Finland but my residence permit based on employment (different from toiminimi) will expire.
Can I wait for the toiminimi residence permit here in Finland ? Will I be asked to leave Finland and wait for the residence permit in my own country ?

While there’s an open application, residence continues to be legal.
