Social Announcements

Use this thread if you are planning on socialising/meeting up with other members.

Please observe: If you do plan on socialising, use common sense when meeting new people for the first time (AKA strangers). Follow basic safety rules such as: meet in a public place, inform a trusted person where will be and what time you expect to be return.

However, Finland is a fairly safe place (in general) but it is important to observe common safety rules. Finally, . is not responsible for your safety.

Basically you can never tell when you meet a murderer, because they hardly ever look like one... I don't either :D
So when's the next time?

I'm loyal to my Finnish Summer University Kieliopin kurssi. Wouldn't wanna miss it for the world! (Also because we're gonna get the results of the test back ... WAAAAAA!!!).
I assume you're not going before 2100?

Errr, Hank, that would be sms "him" (it's Francis, not Frances...).

As for actual time, let's say the initial time and place will be Bar Fly/Eatz terrace between 17.00 and 18.00. After that we move around that area so sms for location.

Hi all

I am meeting up with another guy tonight at the Kaisla in Kaisaniemi with the aim of practising a bit of Finnish (from Niall's Finnish for Foreignners yahoo group).

20.00, Ravintola Kaisla, Vilhonkatu 4, Helsinki

Anyone is welcome to join us if they feel like a cold beer and speaking some Finnish

Tony

P.S. Look out for a short English guy (5'4"), brown hair, beige shorts, grey t-shirt and a baseball cap, an indian guy and a Finnish girl (about the same height as me).

OK,

I bought a car. Well, needs tinkering. I'm off to the cottage MAD season now nightly (mökki and dieselengines...)

I'll either return sooner with wheels or then I'll be in the bog.

Anyone with VW engine swapping practical knowledge is welcome to come give a hand :D
Cheers, Hank W.

Congrats Hank. Enjoy Tinkering with your new toy!
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

RE: 23.07.03 Meeting at Bar Fly/Eatz patio 17:00/18:00.

If the weather is bad today (rain and thunder  ), are there alternate plans for a place to meet other than the patio? Should we just head inside Eatz? What do you think Francis?
