Use this thread if you are planning on socialising/meeting up with other members.
Please observe: If you do plan on socialising, use common sense when meeting new people for the first time (AKA strangers). Follow basic safety rules such as: meet in a public place, inform a trusted person where will be and what time you expect to be return.
However, Finland is a fairly safe place (in general) but it is important to observe common safety rules. Finally, . is not responsible for your safety.

Hi all
I am meeting up with another guy tonight at the Kaisla in Kaisaniemi with the aim of practising a bit of Finnish (from Niall's Finnish for Foreignners yahoo group).
20.00, Ravintola Kaisla, Vilhonkatu 4, Helsinki
Anyone is welcome to join us if they feel like a cold beer and speaking some Finnish
Tony
P.S. Look out for a short English guy (5'4"), brown hair, beige shorts, grey t-shirt and a baseball cap, an indian guy and a Finnish girl (about the same height as me).

OK,
I bought a car. Well, needs tinkering. I'm off to the cottage MAD season now nightly (mökki and dieselengines...)
I'll either return sooner with wheels or then I'll be in the bog.
Anyone with VW engine swapping practical knowledge is welcome to come give a hand

How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
