If Metal is more your kind of thing I can suggest a few bands who either sing in Finnish or have Finnish parts in them.
Ensiferum
Korpiklaani
Tuoni
Kotiteolisuus
Timo Rautiainen
Kivimetsän Druidi
Personally I am usually singing Ensiferum or Korpiklaani while having a few pints.
Good Finnish songs for Finnish learners
Re: Good Finnish songs for Finnish learners
Well, Timo Rautiainen makes for good listening.
If Pop/punk/rock is your thing, Apulanta have literally hundreds of songs, pretty well articulated and straightforward lyrics so good for learning I'd say.

As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

P.S. I'm pretty sure the words must mean "Brother, can you spare a drink..."

Re: Good Finnish songs for Finnish learners
I am wondering if anyone can help me. We used to have a Finnish nanny, and she sang 3 songs to us that I just can't find anywhere. I am sure my spelling is all wrong, but maybe someone recognizes them by what I type, or knows of a good Finnish message board where I could find them. These songs were sung to us in the late 60's, and she was about 50 at the time, so I don't know how old these songs could be. I will type out what I know:
1. Kee cooty caw cootie kiddy of a lindu east to be ox
2. Gurler Gurler gita gon bobba fula blankie
3. Kupinua Kupina only could not miss
Sorry the rest I remember but vaguely. I am sure it is all written wong, and these might be songs way back in the early 1900's, but if anyone knows them or where to hear them or who to ask I would appreciate it.
