What has become of Fintwol, Finnish morphological analyzer?

Post by Spencerville Slim » Mon Apr 13, 2015 7:06 pm

I haven't been able to find a working version for a couple of months. The last address I had -

http://www2.lingsoft.fi/doc/fintwol/

- provides a key to the abbreviations, but seems to have no interactive feature that would allow me to enter a word and get the basic form. Maybe it's there and I just can't see it? I've googled everything my admittedly tiny brain can conjure but no luck. Any ideas?

Moderators - I've searched the forum and can't find any discussion about the disappearance, but if it has been raised before, please go ahead and delete this thread.

I've been monitoring the situation over there at Lingsoft since last August when I put a hook in my software app to export words to for morphological analysis. It seems it's simply been taken offline pending some undislosed future event:

From their website:
[Lingsoftin muut kieliteknologiset demosovellukset ovat tilapäisesti pois käytöstä. Pahoittelemme häiriötä ja pyrimme julkaisemaan ne uudelleen mahdollisimman pian.]
