Hi
is there any one applied for citizenship in October 2022 and still hasn't get the decision????
:lightbulb: if I email migi about the estimated process time dose they provide accurate answer or just automated answer ?
I applied 12.10.2022, I emailed during the summer 2023 and got very generic answer to wait for 18 months, which I believe has transformed into 21 months now :)
Did you gave them detailed information about your application such as date of application and passport availability ? or you just gave them dairy number?

This week's stats:
Total processed: ~189
Total processed with queue > 4000: ~125
Approximate diary number processing range: 10100/310/2023 - 10600/310/2023
Thanks, can I ask you what are the dairy numbers processed between 4000 and 4750?

I also game them my personal info, customer number and maybe the application date. Didn’t mention anything about the passport I think.
Please let me know if you email and get some good answer!:)

I'm going to apply for citizenship in a couple of weeks, and all this talk about a long processing time made me wonder if I'm at risk, but let me explain first.

My current passport is until 2026, so I roughly have two years, and the thing is, it's very much possible that I won't be able to extend my passport in the future due to a huge mess in my country of origin (yeah, it's bad). Hence it begs the question on how to not get a negative decision only because I cannot get a new passport. Does anybody know what would be my options if the decision is not there when my passport expires?

I'm fine otherwise, been working as a "specialist" for the past 4 years, the residence permit is until 2026; the permanent residence permit application is still being process, at the moment I'm 6xx in the queue.

Hi. If you work as specialist and came here with permit your estimated time for your application is 6-2+ months not 29. Check here
https://migri.fi/en/check-the-processin ... pplication
But the time moght grow in the future, so firstly apply as soon as possible and after that think about options.

So, when I moved to Finland I still had a residence permit from Estonia where I previously worked, and I used that to move across the gulf. After 3 weeks of working in Finland I got my Finnish residence permit. In that case, it sounds like I may not qualify for the shorter processing time :?

Has anyone who applied in January 2023 received a request for additional information recently? I recently got an email asking for travel information, but my progress didn't change, still stayed in step 1
Same here. Applied in 08/22. I receive those requests (e.g., any recent travel?) rather frequently (every other month?), still in stage one.

Hei
I was just wondering that my citizenship application moved from stage 1 (waiting for processing) to stage 2 (In progress). It has been in stage two for almost a month. Is that normal?
(I didn’t get any selvitys)
Because based on many experiences here, it took from them couple of days to get decision and few it moves to stage 3 in just few hours.
Thanks in advance.
