JUST what the doctor ordered right now... NOT.
Is this the reason behind the "24-hour delay" in announcing the squad?
And are the black helicopters outside your place yet?

Could we make anything into it that Rio's hearing is on the Monday and the crucial Engerrland game is on the Saturday!!!!Maybe the FA want him to serve his purpose then he'll get his punishment.
Missing a drugs test is the same as failing one and carries a two year ban. we wonder what will happen my money is nothing seeing as the FA and Man U are pretty much the same thing. Sky own shares in MU and are the major funders of the FA so we'll see if some strings are pulled.

I think your confusing us with Arsenal mate
Dein's rise to become one of the most influential and powerful men in British football has not been exclusively in an Arsenal guise.
Dein is a member of Uefa's executive committee, vice-chairman of the Football Association and is widely tipped to become chairman in the near future.
Lets see what happens to Campbell and Keown etc, not a lot methinks! Ferdinand will probably get the book thrown at him. But there are not many at United that will be sad to see him go.

Blaah Blaah United say "he forgot" to have the test taken because he was moving house..
Hevosen paska.
See this link...half way down check the box "open inside a drug test"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 169798.stm
How does he "forget" if Utd follow the correct procedure.
They just pounce and drag the player off then and there..no time to move house...
Quote " The testing officer approaches the sportsman to be tested and shows them his UK Sport accreditation. He informs them that they have been chosen to undergo a random drugs test. From this point on they must have the official with them at all times, until the test is complete - even if they have media interviews to do or a medal ceremony to attend."

Just discovered he took the test 48 hours later:

Not as long as I heard. I think he'll get clean away with it then!

Yep....he is not going to get away with it..48 hours later is a life time in drug offences..
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 169798.stm
I still want to know how you forget something so important...you just cannot walk away from a routine test...it is not a "future" diary event..It is a "now come with us" directive.. .the Club Doctor/Trainer/FIFA official would all be standing with him until and while he pissed in the bottle.

From your article
Gordon Taylor wrote:"We have had other instances where a player has not been able to attend and has given valid reasons.
"There has then been a fine and confidentiality has been respected - that is the whole nature of drug testing.
OK he won't get away with it he'll get a fine, and dropped for this game.
I don't think that'll bother him much. He won't get a 2 year ban though! Also I think it was the case he had to turn up for the drugs test. It wasn't a random spot check.

I dont think the FA have the power (or balls?) to walk into to old trafford and pull aside one of their star players. Thats the way it should happen, but I dont think it does in reality.
He said he was moving house that day and was 'stressed out' should be easy enough to check if he did move house that day and I guess would be mitigating circumstances.
The FA have jumped the gun abit as he has a hearing next tuesday. Depends if failure to take a drug test is an automatic guilty verdict.
FA should have let him play saturday because of "due process" then banned him for one match. Its been badly handled.

rapes, drugs, violence.. has this thread been moved to the hard-core section?

Now I know why (portuguese) jornalists always say that english football is where you get the excitement
Btw, this thread is now .'s n.1 (both in posts and views). .'s Real Madrid?

While I am here, Sky have sold their 9.9% interest in Man Utd to a mystery shopper
