Moi!

Do you know if Finnish tv is going to broadcast every Football World Championship match next June?
I will be in Finland by them for 3 weeks and I wouldn't like to skip Italy matches!

Unlikely that Finnish (YLE) TV will..too many matches not enough channels..So probably just show the feature match perhaps two or three times during the week.
That what they did during the last world cup...

..but it will be possible to view most matches if:

You are in Helsinki or another big town in a pub that has satelite TV and lots of soccer crazy customers..you just have to check which pub is screening which match.
They are all within walking distance of each other.
Sports Academy Bar ....
Chelsea Pub...
Some of the Irish Pubs...

But as Italy wil probably go out quite early in the tournement who will you be watching then?..

But Im guessing that the normal YLE2 will show the prime matches and the YLE24 will show the other games? Hopefully covering them all?

That would be my guess.

When will the schedule for the televised games come out anyways ? Im sure the beeb and ITV have got it sorted out already

Oh and I have never heard it call the football world championship.

Its the World Cup

Of course....but...
Welcome to Finland..who have no real interest in the World Cup and YLE have not yet realised that there is a World Cup series starting next month, and as their budget has been ravaged by the prospect hosting of the next Eurovision song contest, it would not surprise me if they only screen highlights after matches to save a few Euro
But like you I hope not....but the lack of any info on a schedule makes me worried.
Suggest you book a corner of sports academy just in case.

Don't worry, they are showing all the matches on YLE as I expected.

Simon, re: World Championship, I spotted this somewhere the other day. I thought it interesting there was no mention of World Cup, I suppose it used to be the Jules Rimet cup;

Nice! Thanks! Well, let's say that Italy has qualified at least!
I know, maybe it will be dropped out immediately, but so what!
And in any case, I do like football in general!
