Did you know that certain families with at least 1 US parent (whether US citizen or greencard holder) can get up to $1,000 per child from the IRS? This is the little-known 'additional child tax credit', which creates the possibility of owing the IRS zero, and getting money from the IRS. Eligibility depends on the interaction of several factors: overall income, excluded income, foreign taxes paid, filing status, and number of children. Many eligible parents do not get what they should because they don't file a US return at all, or they make mistakes on their returns that render them ineligible. You have a limited time to claim these credit-refund (3 years), don't miss out! Feel free to PM me for more info.
