Evening out is ON

Post by Wheely » Wed Apr 11, 2007 9:34 pm

Sahboo,

after spending so much time at home last year I can not imagine anything nicer than going out for dinners, drinks, cinema etc occasionally. These little breaks make such a difference to everyday life - they really feel special. It would be really nice to organize something of a monthly thing or something even more regular. There are quite a few things to do in Helsinki I am sure.

Count me in! Good food and good company  It's been too long since our last night out - has it been FOUR months already?!! Another night out is definitely in order!

Not sure if anyone is still up for a movie - I think all the movies we were planning to watch are no longer screening at the cinemas. But it's nice to just sit and chat over a nice meal.

There's always the Singapore restaurant which we were supposed to go to the last time. Then there's Virgin Oil (near Stockmann) which has had some good reviews and perhaps a nicer ambience to spend the evening.

P.S. Is next Friday (April 20) too soon for the next night out? April 27, hubby not free and the week after we're away. Kiitos!

Count me in for a night out, April 20th isn't too soon for me either. Would also be up for going out every month, it would be fun to discover Helsinki together! I wouldn't mind trying Virgin Oil too for a nosh up.

Not around next Friday

Post by Wheely » Fri Apr 13, 2007 10:38 am

Oioi,

this is the one and only Friday in the next couple of months when we are not around so I cannot make it on the 20th. What a shame. If you do go out then have a blast of a time - and please lets organize another outing then soon!

Hallo everyone, does it have to be a Friday? makes no difference to me anyway! How about Thursday 19th or 26th as people seem to have plans over the weekends?

Good idea Caroline! Thursday works just as well for me too. I'm fine with both April 19 or 26. Marianne how does that work for you? Have a good holiday and see you when you get back!!!

P.S. Besides Friday nights are always crowded and going back late evening is not so much fun with the already inebriated crowds at the Metro.

I'm having a different MNO on the 19th at La Famiglia. Anyone interested in combining? That one has already been announced to the other group so I'm sure it won't be changed.

But the twins are due any day ...

Have a nice evening and enjoy the time out!

See you sometime in the next weeks (months?) at Stockmann

26th sounds good

Post by Wheely » Fri Apr 13, 2007 3:29 pm

I am on for the 26th and I have understood that many people use Thursdays to go out anyway but it is still not as crowded and "drunk" as for example Friday.
