It is taken by a carrier pigeon.

How about 'royal mail' and an express letter? Takes about 2-3 days for a regular unless its over a weekend.
Cheers, Hank W.

I've found the following formula works for me:

"Time taken for post from UK>Finland" = "Time taken from Finland>UK+2 days"

Usually about 4-6 days for me.

Thanks. Am asking because I'm expecting a visa for Cameroon (well I know this is Finland forum but... Cameroon has no active forum) from Cameroon embassy in London and they are also closed for today and soon it's weekend... I don't know if they will send it fast or if my friend in London can pick it from them and send it faster... The problem is that I should get the visa before 25th of this month...

Mail from Finland to Uk doesn't take long. I called my bank on wed morning at 11.00 Finland time to get new password for my internet bank and the letter was in my hand on thursday morning at 9.00 am GMT. That's fast!

I send and recieve small parcels to/from the UK regular, and the service is good ( 2 or 3 days ).
No complaints about the safety of post in Finland, just the delivery time gets abit late in the day for some reason.

2 or 3 days by regular post is normal for me.
Sending atuff the other way is about the same unless you use "express" in which case it takes at least a week. After a couple of cases like that I sent two identical letters, one by normal post and one by express, to the same UK address and posted at the same time here. The express letter took 8 days and the normal version took 3.
