True or not about car taxation?
True or not about car taxation?
Hello
I did discused earlier also about this matter but I would have another question: my father wants to come here in Finland, and he wants to take his personal car from Romania and bring it here. Someone on the other topic that I had opened about car taxation told me that if somebody is the owner of his/her personal car for more the 6 months and he/she has driven more the 6000 km the the person can get the tax free off the car when he is going for the first time to the customs here in Finland. Is this information valid? Is it possible to register a car in Finland regarding the matters above?
Have a nice day

RTFM http://www.tulli.fi => car as removal objects
As long at it has an Euro CoC there is no problem, then again its 2 years moratorium in selling and such (like you may not drive it unless he is in the car with you as you are not "family" etc.)

if he just comes by to visit, it can't be done, but if he moves, it can be done...r32 wrote:

And there is RTFM at http://www.tulli.fi of car as a tourist - which means if its got Romanian plates you may not drive it as you are a "Finn" - unless he's in the car.
