Moi kaikille
I bought a few nice leather belts from home last year. When i bought them they fit my wait nicely cauase i was thicker around the waist. A year later, after shedding so much weight those belts dont fit me anymore - what i mean is, there aren't extra holes on the belt through which you put the buckle pin in. Back home, many shops had this handheld punching machine which they used to punch holes int he leather belts for some spare change.
Anyone knows where i can avail a similar facility here. Its such a little, i seriously have my doubts of someone actually knowing about it :-p
Kiitos.

You need to find a "Suutari"..there is one in most shopping centres/malls.
Their main trade is Key Making..but small leather jobs are also their trade.
They are sort of odd jobs repair guys...shoe repairs...iceskate sharpeners...

People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.

Failing that, a hammer and nail normally works for me

Suutari...hmmm.
If i remember correctly. There is one guy at the Rautatientori. He has this shop right opposite the Picnic at the mezzanine level. I'll check up with him.
If all else fails, i'll go with the hammer and nail and pray that the nail doesn't go through my index finger or that i don't mess up my belt.

I've got one of these which i bought in the UK for about £4
And I´ve got one that I have inherited. Must be almost 100 years old. It even has a name in Finnish:
nahkapaska.

LIDL sells those in a Kit containing that hole-punch for belts, a rivet kit etc for less than 20 Euros.!!
but only for a few euros, you can get it punched from a Suutari
