I think b r a n d n e w sets off the spam alert. It has happened to me before. Like this.....

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
Penelope: Interesting! That's exactly what I wrote.
I visited AT Lastenturva today and saw that they had an offer on Teutonia Rocky. 559 euros (if I remember right) including carrycot and wheels.

Hi,
we've bought last year (2007) stroller, brand is Gesslein, on eBay.de shops.
http://www.gesslein.de/m2.htm
It was b r a n d n e w, delivered to the door, and the price was (including shipping) almost 50% cheaper than in Finland. I was extremely happy with that. (shipping cost via DHL was around 25-30 EUR)
Since I don't know German, I used http://babelfish.altavista.com/ for translation.
I bought lots of other things from Germany for baby, some from eBay shops, some directly from other sites. In principle, you should ask for delivery charges to Finland, as that may vary considerably.

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
ere not the ebay shops ( names of ebay shops would be good) but other German sites..

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
Sure,
those are what I've used (purchased from) so far:
http://www.spielparadies.de/
and eBay shops:
http://stores.ebay.de/Toys-Spiel-und-Baby-Fachmarkt
( the shop name is: Toys Spiel Und Baby Fachmarkt)
and
spiel-sport-baby
There were also few baby items that I've bought second hand from sellers in Germany. No problems whatsoever, but you have to inquire in advance about whether they'll ship to Finland (before you bid).
Happy shopping!

I have just won a bid from eBay from http://stores.ebay.de/Toys-Spiel-und-Baby-Fachmarkt shop, and they want me to pay in their bank account before delivering the items.
Do you have any experience with them? Is it safe to pay (430 EUR in my case) without knowing whether and when the items will be delivered?

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
you would be better off paying them using paypal. Ask them if they take it. You can lin paypal with your bank a/c, credit cards etc..suomiro wrote:Thanks DownSouth for these good links!DownSouth wrote:

and it comes with automatic insurance coverage for buyers upto 500€( I think)

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
and yes, I would not bid anything before I find out about how to pay, what happens if product is DOA, who covers what , insurance for S&H,etc etc.. These are just basic rules for bidding..

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
it was my first bid on eBay and I assumed by default that every seller on eBay accepts Paypal. That's why I didn't even think about the payment method before bidding.raamv wrote: you would be better off paying them using paypal. Ask them if they take it. But it looks like it's not the case. This particular seller doesn't take Paypal. On the other hand, they have 99,6% positive rating out of more than 160,000 feedbacks...
Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
My wife and I have followed this advice, and bought ours on Huuto. Of course, it was a model we had seen and tried in shops, and it was the model we wanted to buy.milou wrote:And one last advise: http://www.huuto.net
I spent 650 euros on a new pram two years ago and later I noticed that used one would have done the same thing. I could have bought a pram via huuto.net for 300-400 euros. For that price you'll find Teutonias and Emmaljungas in good condition with carrycot etc. So if the pram doesn't need to be brand_new, I'd warmly recommed this option.
We have now received it, it seems perfectly fine, so it looks like we have saved 100 euros. Original price was 300 euros, final price on huuto.net was 185 euros, shipping costed 14 euros.

Re: Emmaljunga Strollers
Hello everyone,
Sorry that I havent posted in a while. My wife and I appreciate all of your help. We finally chose a stroller, the new Brio Kombi. We bought ours in Kerava at Muovi ja Lelu for $545 euros (included everything). They were having a sale which really helped. We spent the extra money on this one as my wife had to have the color combination. For anyone else looking for more of a bargain, they have received a shipment of 2006 model Brios in tan and also in green for an amazing $399 (including everything). They told us that the warehouse was overstocked on these and wanted to move them quickly and they are virtually the same as the this years model. I also noticed that the other baby stores are also having sales right now. So if you are looking, now is the time to buy.
Thank you again everyone for all of your help. It is greatly appreciated that I can come here and get such excellent advice. Kiitos
