In a store? Teesi has pretty competitive prices.

Best prices at Teesi and Bauhaus. Lidl gets some dirt cheap stuff but unsure of the quality. A good overall paint is Siroplast 7, in "painter's white" or maalarivalkoinen. About 70 euros for a 18 liter pail.

IIRC what I got from Teesi was "Ekora 20", dried pretty fast and is pretty good oveerall paint - and you can get it toned to whatever hue.

Re: cheap paint
Pintaväri is also quite reasonable. Last year I brought cheap covering paint. 18 litres(Remonttimalli)was approx 50-60 euros. More than enough to cover and give a modest size apartment a fresh feel. Painting the ceiling if it is badly strained due to smoking or cooking will really improve the overall feeling. Try and do this of course before you move in. Cover the floor and paint in small patches slowly across the room where the light comes in from the window. or follow the floor lines. For a little over 100 euros and your precious time a small apartment can easily be completed in a day or two.
