Living in Finland and...

Post by jazzori » Mon Apr 07, 2008 4:32 pm

...moving to Vantaa.

RUN!!! :ochesey:

Anyway, I post this add cause, cause.. ehm.. cause.. of course people wanna know about it. ( don't they? )

If things go well, I'm going to live in Vantaa, Ruskeasanta starting with May, so if someone would like to show me around, she/he's more than welcome. :)

Normally, I'd appologise for my stupidity, but fortunatelly i don't think it's necessary anymore since noone would give me any attenuated circumstances anyway ( as my previous posts are still out here terrifying some. ) O'well, 6 years i've been a blonde. I am still.. a blonde at heart.

Anyway, I'd like to ask what's Ruskeasanta, in fact? ( yes, yes, i'm moving there and i don't even know what's that... ) But really, noone explained it to me and on wiki we have an article in Finnish.. not yet to my knowledge. Is it a suburbia or what? Aaaand.. does Vantaa have a Center? What's that area's name then?
Any nice places to go out? Like jazzclub or jazzbars as well as places sustaining concerts, etc... I guess I won't have trouble looking for a rockbar, right? :)

Also, do you know any sites I can see the bus traffic on them plus any other additional information since i will have to go to Tikkurila o a daily basis.

Prices, friends, sites or any other suggestions?... Thanks... :)

PS. Is a "blonde" with or without an "e"... not that i reffer to electrons, cause we all know their issues are neuron-challenging :-D No offence, just a innocent joke, as the gay, fat, rich, poor, tall, short, jew jokes :-P

Depending on just where in Ruskeasanta you live, you will be very near the end of the "33" runway for the airport. It might get rather noisy! the nearest "keskus" is in Vanta about 2.5 kilometers southeast. Tikkurila looks like about 3 kilometers southeast. Ruskeasanta appears to be made up of "omakotitalo" residences. Enjoy!

http://www.juttutupa.com

This place has free jazz almost every wednesday and Finland's finest do gigs there, even a lot of international acts. Its right by the Hakaniemi Metro Station. Highly recomended. All the action is in Helsinki.

The only jazz there is by bone flutes as I know it only of the cemetary... and a race track.... ah, and the bus goes to "Cold Ditch"
