So... your diploma degree would be... a 1-year/2-year degree?

The difficult bit: in Finnish higher education there is no direct equivalent of "diploma degrees". So on one hand, with a diploma degree it can be pretty hard to gain eligibility to a Master's - a Bachelor's in a relevant field is usually the minimum requirement... and then again for a Bachelor's, I'm not sure if your diploma degree helps you much at all (at least not in the application phase - I guess it depends on the institution whether or not you would get any credit compensation for your earlier studies IF admitted)... so you might need to start from scratch so to speak. (see the magic words below)

General info on admissions: check out the admissions sites www.admissions.fi (polytechnics i.e. universities of applied science) and www.universityadmissions.fi (universities - mainly Master's programmes there in English though)

...and here's the magic words: Admisson offices. Ask!
