Cracking performance.

Who was it on this board that said Finland lacked young footballing talent?

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Great first save in the shoot out, last pen was the worst i've ever seen.
Great victory, looking forward to the trip to sweden, especially if the current game turns out well. Watching the it now(england wales), shame i missed the first half especially since a Manure fan has reported on the quality of Aaron Ramsey.
Roll on the summer.

Yes, the first one was a seriously good save. It actually looked like he'd misjudged it and gone under the ball - taking it with the upper hand like that is hard.
As for the last one, it was almost as if the poor guy was AIMING for the keeper's hands. It came back so hard I half-expected it to reach the halfway line. :)

Finns couldn't find their ass with both hands in the first half, but you can't understimate sisu I guess.

True to l'Arse form, he started brightly and then bottled when it counted.
With England and Finland both qualifiying, this little trip to Sweden could be much fun.
Esp. if it's via Christiania.. :D

I missed the match last night but Youtube never lets you down. Here is the PK shoot out. Brilliant first save by the Finn keeper.

Watching them again reminds me how calm and composed they all were stepping up to the spot.

All credit goes to FC Honka, methinks.
Maanoja , Vasara, Tuurunen and everyone's favourite donkey, Kokko.

I expect we're negotiating transfer fees for the remaining three as I type.

All four of the finn penalties goes to the same corner. I bet the keeper was hoping at least one would go to his side.
