If you know someone, be good if you could ask 'em...that would be cool

I can find kayaks and canoes but not the sit on top ones.

Isn't there a canoe/kayak store near the pub (Gallow's Bird) in Niittykumpu? And there is one in Olari, near the Steiner school (I think I already posted the link). We have one, they are fun and FAST and the dog thinks it's the best ride ever. Maybe I have a photo somewhere. Will ask my Dh where he bought it. But I remember he was going out to buy a laptop... and he came back with the kayak

 Good man....Could be worse, he could go out to buy milk and never return! (we never grow up - it's true).

Cheers folks...I just want one to mess around at the GFs summer place, maybe use it to do some CV work. Nothing fancy or serious.

Karhu...ta mate. 300 notes in biltema.

Crap colour though so we might pimp it and paint it black and put some flames on it and 'Punk Rock Pirates' down the side in that ransom note lettering.

You'll need to wait little longer for it to ripen.

He said he bought it from the place in Olari. Western Trading (sounds dodgy). Couldn't find it on the web but it's opposite the Steiner school, on the Olari side, not too far from Ring II.

Great! Thanks a lot...Any idea of price?

We're heading down in a few weeks so might pop by if we have time and aren't squabbling.

Ours is an Ocean Kayak www.oceankayak.fi and DH can't remember how much it cost but might have been about 400€. I've tried searching for them but can't find a thing on the internet which is odd. So, next time I drive past (nearly every day) I'll stop and see if they are still trading. Maybe they shut down in winter :?

Thanks...But please don't put yourself out.

If you know/can give me the street name, that's good enough.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had completely forgotten I promised to check this out but I stopped there today on my way home. The place was open and there were even people inside the store:

http://www.north-westimport.net/index.p ... ategory=19

I don't think we paid 600€ : dh says it was an impulse buy because it was on special offer. Though I still don't figure how you can impulse buy a kayak from a store in the middle of nowhere, it's not like there's a Lidl next door, and it's not on the dog run or the school run. :? Suspicious.....

Did you get the Biltema one in the end? Have you tried it yet?

One picture which cracks me up is of a guy standing up to fish from one of these. Are they really that stable? I don't see how. Maybe they snapped the camera shutter quickly, right befoe he went facefirst into the drink!?
