While Omega 3 is fine, pregnant women need to carefully watch the quantity of Vitamin E supplements they take. High quantities of Vitamin E have been linked to still births. I would advise you to consult your doctor before she starts to take them.

Omega 3 is great to eat while pregnant, and is actually necessary to eat (for the development of the babies brain), especially if you eat fish less than 3 times per week

and IIRC pregnant women are advised NOT to eat Baltic salmon and herrings etc during pregnancy. Probably a good idea to avoid all predatory fish like pike as well.

It is because the Baltic is polluted with quicksilver from the friendly nation

If it´s fish oil, it is rather OK. Don´t take it if it´s liver oil, because the liver keeps the poison. It is not recommended to anyone - pregnant or not.
