CHINESE/ASIAN FOOD ONLINE ORDER AND HOME DELIVERY
Does anyone know which chinese restaurant that offers online order and home delivery in Helsinki?? If yes, Please post me some links. Thank you!

www.chinaman.fi has online offer but not for home delivery I suppose.

There's at least one chinese restaurant listed on Helsinki's gastronautti pages. This service can be a bit pricey, see if you have any restaurants in your area and inquire. Also, lookout for flyers on your mailbox - they won't arrive if you have the "Ei mainoksia" sign in your door, tough.

Well, no, but if there was a demand for Estonian Alkotaksi or whatever it was called before the authorities shut it down, then how far off can Internet order-and-delivery of food in Helsinki really be? Maybe phuongtranmass will be able to jump on this idea before too long.Violette wrote:"Well Toto, looks like we aren't in Kansas anymore"
Oh, I know, I know. Food is optional while alcohol is a necessity for sustaining life. But still...
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

When order and delivery is ~15% cheaper than going to local alk..chinese (calculated by first hits I found: "Taxi Vodka 80% 10x50cl PET 95,50€" and "Nordfors Wirta Viina 0.7 l 16.15 €" and then diluting that taxivodka to 40%).AldenG wrote:Well, no, but if there was a demand for Estonian Alkotaksi or whatever it was called before the authorities shut it down, then how far off can Internet order-and-delivery of food in Helsinki really be? Haven't noticed yet the trend that Finns flock to the cheapest price? Be it alcohol or food. Bonus points if you can think that you get good deal even though you spent all the savings in the ship's bar, at least you got to flip the bird to the taxman.AldenG wrote:Oh, I know, I know. Brilliant clip Violette! pizza is usually the only takeaway you can phone for in Helsinki, but I find the frozen supermarket versions (or your own obviously but that kinda defeats the object) better than the ones that turn up at your door.
Re: CHINESE/ASIAN FOOD ONLINE ORDER AND HOME DELIVERY
All kidding aside, I'm wondering is it worth the trouble for takeout places to get delivery people? From a business perspective I mean? Do you think there would be a demand for such a service? Shoot we get pizza delivered at least once a week, the delivery charge is a bit ridiculous tho'... and that's here in Canada!
I think what's needed is an under-the- table delivery/cab service thats privately owned like SPEEDY CAB. From an entrepreneurs perspective there are alot of things needed over in Finland.

From the tax orifices point of view - they want all the people thinking of entrepeneurship to be in debt to them for the eternity.Violette wrote: From an entrepreneurs perspective there are alot of things needed over in Finland.

So what you are saying is that the taxman loves the small business owner. But don't lets get into that topic, cause I have no clue what I'd be saying except for boring *s
But do you remember the guy who asked about buying a food vending truck? He had a good idea there. Park it at the Helsinki Tori and wait for the tourists. In Winter one can go to Florida and visit the "old timers" Where "are" all the used trucks and hot dog stands anyway...chuckles.

Someone just told me about an Irish guy who has got a licence from Helsinki municipality to sell Fish n' Chips from his van on Friday and Saturday nights from 22:00 to 03:00 somewhere around Kamppi (not sure of the exact venue). He went to the UK to buy his van and fitted it out, got it through Evira etc and has been doing the rounds in Sipoo. Now he's coming to townViolette wrote: But do you remember the guy who asked about buying a food vending truck? He had a good idea there. .
