Ironing Service

Post by Rosamunda » Thu Jan 28, 2010 12:38 am

I am looking for either a pick-up or drop-off ironing service (clothes, mostly shirts) preferably in Espoo.

Any links? Any tips?

If you get them dry cleaned, they also iron them

(or ask your cleaning lady to do it)

I don't have shirts dry-cleaned :? I wash them in the washing machine.

And I don't have a cleaning lady.

I am just looking for someone who does ironing (shirts).

My husband is good at ironing. :) He often irons my clothes, too. Maybe he wants to do little extra.

They offer laundry and ironing services in Olari S-Market.

Thanks, we just went in to ask and it's the lady who does the sewing repairs who also does the ironing and she wasn't there. But will go back next week to find out what she charges.
We already get our drycleaning done there, cheaper than SOL.

Hi Penelope!

Have you ever considered those no-ironing shirts? It's really washing and hanging, really easy! They may be a bit more expensive than normal shirts but I think they are worth every extra euro ;-)

Yes, I think that is probably a good idea too. He has one or two and they are quite good, but I still think they need to be ironed. Maybe I wash them wrong. I tend to chuck stuff in the washing machine before I go to bed and then hang it up to dry when I remember.

Anyway, I initially posted this for a friend, not for me. But then I thought, hmmmm.... good idea.
