Interesting - the Wiki article on Tang (I have no idea what it's like really so I had to look it up) mentions space flights. I hadn't thought of the connection earlier, but vaguely remember a powdered drink product from the early 70's called RYMD which means 'space' in Swedish - so
that's how the name came about... space craze

Rymd, however has disappeared from the shop shelves long ago. And so, I think, has this one...

I remember the name Rymd, too. It looks like there is no drink powders in regular grocery stores at all. Tang is preferred, but other brands would do as well, just really can't find any. Will go check out the ethnic stores in Hakaniemi though, hopefully they have something there.

Only "powder" I ever remember seeing was "Hartsport"

I found some Foster Clarks powder from the ethnic store in Hakaniemi, not as good as Tang, but will do at least temporarily anyway. Will go have a better look at the other stores there later.
Thanks for the link Ref!

Thank you raamv! I have not seen it in any Hämeentie shops, but maybe I missed that one.

No one has mentioned Behn Ford's yet. Their website doesn't show it but it's possible it could be in store. Funny thing is I'm almost positive I've seen it recently (last couple of months) but I'd be damned if I could remember where.

That was the first place where I went, they don't have it there, thanks though.

Should have guessed. First stop for most foreigners here.
I think I may have figured out where I saw it. I'm pretty sure it was K Citymarket. Whether it was just a trial or something I don't know because there were other 'American' products as well. I live in Kotka so it might have been just here.
You could check yours out.

I haven't seen it in Jumbo, Ruoholahti or Itäkeskus Citymarkets, but thanks, will keep my eyes open.

I'm sure I'd go slowly crazy if I couldn't get any.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

To be honest here I can't stand Tang.

My older brother used to love the stuff when we were growing up, not sure now though.
I'll take real fruit juice over Tang any day.

Most guys like it but there's also a minority opinion.

There is a fresh supply of Tang in a shop called Finn Halal in Itä Keskus. They even have a mango flavoured one.
