Hi everyone,
I'm trying my best to learn finnish but i'm so confused about finnish grammar and it may take a long time to learn even basic finnish. anyway, i have one question: what the diffrence between partitive singular and partitive plural? How do i know when to use partitive plural instead of partitive singular?
Hope someone can help

Partitive singular and partitive plural
Re: Partitive singular and partitive plural
Your question is a bit too broad to give a clear answer....
If you are talking about nouns, the simple answer is that you would use the partitive if a group of things is involved and, for whatever reason, you are conveying a sense of "indefiniteness" or "incompleteness". If the word is an adjective....then the adjective would have to agree with the noun it is modifying, though there are some exceptions as explained in this link:

...if you are dealing with countable nouns and pronouns, it can be rather complicated, as it would be for someone learning English as a second language....

....and you can try using the search function at the top of the page....keywords: "partitive" or "countable"....
