No. BTW, your English isn't all that great either. Sorry!Janyte wrote:Anyway, do you think I can get job, when I dont speak Finnish

Re: Looking for Job
Finnish is VERY important. However, getting a job here without Finnish language skills is not impossible.

Re: Looking for Job
I'm not sure but I believe that, based on your experience you've got, you're more likely to bag a job in Hotels close to the city (Hilton, Radisson or Palace Kamp) or the Airport as most of the hotel's residents are Foreigners or English Speakers.Janyte wrote:Thank you so much for informations
However, there are couple of basic criteria that you must satisfy in order to work in Finnish Hospitality Industry. Like, a Finnish Hygiene Certificate, a Salmonella Test Certificate, an Alcohol Pass regarding Alcohol Licensing Issues in Finland. Then, the employers will actually consider your application further and sometimes or usually you need to have a basic knowledge of Finnish Language.
Having said that, sometimes it's not impossible to get a hotel job without those certificates. Suppose you looking for a position in the F & B Dept. in Palace Kamp : doing an open application e.g from the home page of Palace Kamp is usually a waste of time. When in fact, its worth spending some money to make a call directly from your country and asked for the Food & Beverage Manager where you can literally talk to him/her personally and probably send your details on his/her personal email.
Sometimes it works..: one of my friend's experience...

Good Luck
