We have put together an evening for everyone, come listen and learn from a career Counselor from the Helsinki University and two businessmen who have set up businesses in Finland.

Below is a Bio of our 3 guest speakers.
Eric Carver
Works as a Career Counselor at
the University of Helsinki Career services. He teaches work life
orientation and career skills courses for both international and Finnish
degree students.
Jason Wright
Is the President of Junior Chamber International
Cosmopolis in Helsinki. Junior Chamber International is a worldwide
federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs between the age of 18 to
40. Worldwide, there are almost 170,000 active JCI members and
millions of JCI alumni. JCI members contribute to the advancement of
the global community by creating positive changes in approximately
6,000 communities in more than 100 nations worldwide.
David Gelkin
Has been a Finnish investment ambassador during 2007 at the Prestigious International Global Investors Summit in Indore India, as an invited guest of the Indian government. Served on the board of directors of the British Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Helsinki. Been self-employed in Finland since 2001 with multiple ventures including mobile software development and data recovery. Educated as a BSc Electronic and Computer engineering, with a deep interest and passion for the Entrepreneurial mindset.
First business started at age of 16 in Bournemouth, Dorset, South England. A Minibus hire company, with snowboarding tours to Les-Deux Alps in France. Later businesses included a Fibreglass manufacturing company, with customers such as Sunseeker International, and frequent trips to Monaco.
Moved to Finland in 1999. Lived and studied in Rovaniemi for almost 2 years before moving to Porvoo. A few years later while still doing my own part-time business became a consultant at Nokia and moved to Espoo. Left Nokia ~6 years later, to focus full-time on my own ventures predominantly Data Recovery.
First and only business to fail, was in mid 2008 was DataPrey Finland Oy. Due mainly to unpaid taxes. This life lesson was an important step in my development as an Entrepreneur not only in Finland. Since then I've had extensive additional education and study, about conducting business in Finland. Mainly hosted from education facilities such as yrityshelsinki all in English. I am very familiar with the tax legislation and employment rules at this time .
I've owned businesses of the forms; Sole Trader, Limited PartnerShip, and Limited Liability in Finland.
Current Ventures include:
Gelkin Tmi : Data Recovery service I run from my home in Vantaa. Customers include the Finnish Government, Police, and Educational Facilities including private customers. I offer discounts to . members, Students and Pensioners over 60 years old.
JetLink Oy : Finnish Budget Airline concern. Currently in the funding/licensing phase. You can get upto date status of the companies slow creation from Facebook.
