Helsingin Erä-Majavat ry has an English-speaking Cub Scout group, which is seeking new members. The group is mainly meant for boys and girls aged between 7-10 years, whose language skills are not adequate for participating in Finnish-speaking scout groups. The group follows the Finnish scout program which was updated in 2008. The sea scouting activities will be present in the spring. Also bilingual children can join!
The Cub Scout group meets once a week in the premises of Helsingin Erä-Majavat in Perhonkatu 3 (Helsinki, Kamppi). Meetings take place on Sunday afternoons starting at 3 pm. Duration of the meetings is 1 hour and 15 minutes. The Cub Scout group will attend the camps and daytrips with the Finnish groups. The group has two leaders, Jason and Michelle, who speak English as a mother tongue.
