Hi friends,

Last month i went to employment Office in Helsinki to register as job seeker, they registered my details and told me that i have waiting period for 6 months to get unemployment fund from integration support also told me in this mean time if i want to get money from integration, i should take job practice place or palkka tukki.

Now my doubt is how many hours it should be for job practice to get benefit from integration or how many hours for palkka tukki, about these information i need your help (all rules and regulations).

If anybody faced this situation or experience, please share with me.

Shouldn't you be asking these from the unemployment office directly?

I would think these are not really requirements for getting the integration benefits, but more like ways of getting paid something (for doing something) while waiting your actual integration program to start.

Well I was planning to start some work training "työharjoitelu" while waiting for a Finnish language course. Now you have made me confused. Is it really so that they will keep me away from the language course if I start some kind of training?

I have heard stories of exploitation of these "slaves" but just wanted to give it a try.

I know only about those 6h/day courses arranged by työvoimatoimisto. Other course are usually short courses and they are mostly 3 times per week and a couple of hours per time. Where can I find 18/week courses? I live in Turku.

You'll get full money i.e daily unemployment allowance + 9 euros per day. You'll be able to get something around 650 euros /month. You are not gonna get a salary.
