Classless = no class. Not the sharpest tool in the box are we sunshine
I guess I count away fans who wear replica shirts, make fun of people dying in tragic accidents, clubs that have a large nazi following or get financed by their countries goverment as my criterea.
a bit snotty and snobbish, are we?
I was just wondering if you had an unbiased definition of it as "class" is something very very subjective and you havent disappointed me.
Of course ManU with its plenty of gloryfans, humble teammanager and over-commercialisation is the example of a perfect club.
That is as long as they dont "forget" drug-tests or an even more arrogant team buys out their midfield.

Oh, and I prefer 10 times to stand besides a fan with a replica shirt or even no shirt at all but who lives with his team then besides one with all the original equipment from the actual season but who only cheers and sings when the team is winning.
Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different

Teams which, besides Olympique Marseille, you wont know like SC Freiburg or Hapoel Tel Aviv.
I just dont see big differences between Arsenal and ManU, no matter what smart marketing-managers want to make people believe.
Football is business, and nowadays they try to make the fans more emotional (emotional also because they know that you spend much more money for emotions ) because sadly the bigger teams themself are rather sterile and exchangable.

Marseille's supposed to be the Manchester of France isn't it?

Dont believe all the hype about glory hunting fans and fans who only sing when we're winning mate. United were actually my local team when I was a kid and they were shyte they only won two FA cups for the first 13 years of my life.

Paris Saint Germain is more the ManU of France. Olympique would be its criminal nephew

I dont have a problem with ManU-fans as I think that the home-audience in OF is one of the fairest in football. In Freiburg we are more used to chant for 80 minutes when our team loses 6:0 vs Bayern Munich

Here's a couple of reason why I believe "real" United fans are a class act:
To be cheered from the pitch by one's own supporters is accolade enough - to be given a standing ovation by opposition fans is a true honour.
Standing ovation
As he gave way to Santiago Solari after 67 minutes of Real Madrid CF's 4-3 defeat against Manchester United FC on Wednesday night having scored a marvellous hat-trick, home and away supporters rose as one to greet Ronaldo. "It was unforgettable," said the Brazilian. "I will never forget it."
You might also want to remind them of the events at the first game to be played at Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester United after the Hillsbrough Disaster. I've never seen or heard anything like it. The simple, brutal, obvious thing for the United fans to do would have been to pay back the Scousers for forty years of baiting about the Munich Air Disaster with some frightfulness about the deaths at Hillsbrough. They didn't. They simply handed out the biggest collective humiliation and lesson in good manners I have ever witnessed.
Throughout the 90 minutes they sang, "Where's your famous Munich song?" - the Scousers had no answer, they looked at their feet, they cringed, the remained absolutely silent. Even more than that the United fans held their discipline and not one of them sold the jerseys by mentioning Hillsbrough.

The united firm does have several Londoners amongst their number thats true enough. Its not entirely made up of Salfords finest thats for sure.
This whole notion that most United fans aren't from Manchester is crazy though. Manchesters largely split geographically from a football perspective the north and west are united the south and east City.
It is approximately a 50/50 split. Of course other Greater Manchester teams like Bolton, Bury, Oldham and Stockport have a degree of support too but this is largely concentrated in their respective towns.
The idea that a lad from Old Trafford or Salford wouldn't give vociferous support and passion throughout 90 minutes of a game for his local club is beyond belief also.

I wont say anything without my lawyer.
Except a quote by Franz beckenbauer: "Johan was the better player, but I am worldchampion".
But nationwise, my bets are one either France or Chechia for the EC in Portugal.

I dont know if we talk about the same France, but I wouldnt say that either Henry, Trezeguet, Viera or Zidane, to name just a few, are past it.
England won´t win, Italy is not better than they were 4 years ago, and it already wasnt enough back then (I would have loved to see France-Netherlands) and Spain, the eternal favorite who, on a regular base, disappoints when it gets serious. Next candidate?
