JOB: Release Engineer/Developer (Windows)

Our company has had a vacancy on MOL for a few weeks. We're now re-advertising it in Finnish, and taking down the English language at the end of this month. So in case there's anyone here who might be interested and hasn't noticed the job, I'm posting the English language version here. CM.

Release Engineer/Developer, World in a Box Finland Oy, Karkkila

Our small software development team is looking for someone to manage our build and release work. The role also includes some programming, researching new technologies and products, and solving various (often intriguing) technical problems.

We produce scientific software, mostly for the wind energy industry but also for ecological research. There's some mapping, some statistics, some simulation, and so on: it's interesting and challenging work with a satisfying environmental purpose.

Our main outputs are COM and .NET desktop applications and ASP.NET web sites. Tools used include Visual Studio (C++, C#, VB, FORTRAN), Delphi, Advanced Installer, WISE installation system, VMWare workstation, Visual Build Pro and Spoon.

You don't need to have experience of all these technologies. No particular qualifications are required, but you need to have relevant IT experience, and you must be able to show that you are smart, and careful in your work habits.

This is a permanent, full-time position. The working language is English. Our company offices are in Karkkila, Finland (about an hour from Helsinki). We have a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere where you get a chance to concentrate and do the job well.
