To have answers with some meaning, please indicate where did you submit the application (abroad or in which city) and if it was as a spouse of a Finnish citizen.

Family ties... im an italian /argentinian citizen married to a finnish citizen in july this year. Applied in Kangasala in August and i got it after 2 days.
I have to add the first woman that talk to us in the police said it was going to be difficult for us to get the residency, for lots of senseless things like me havin 2 citizenships (why u have 2 citizenships??? she asked), havent register before as a resident and add that maybe she will send us to tampere office cause our case was so messy for her. Next day we went again there, the woman that actually handles the residencies was there, super nice she ask for passports, marriage certificate, and money and said pick it up tomorrow morning

i can top that....
i got my right of recidency registered in half an hour here in Joensuu.
i guess it helped, that my case was clear and well documented (german, living with the finn in question in germany for seven years) and that i needed only the registration nad not an actual permit, but still, i found it really impressive at the time-
