Hi
I am moving to Finland in August 2012 to study at Aalto University.
I have never lived in Finland but have a passport and a social number through my mother. I also did my military service in 2007.
What process would I need to go through.
ie: Applying for a residence permit etc?
Thank You

Since you're a Finnish citizen, you definitely don't need any residence permit. All you have to do is update maistraatti with your new Finnish address and apply for a Kela card to be eligible for student support and healthcare coverage. Just finding it a bit strange that you did your military service in 2007 and yet you ask if you need a residence permit

Thanks Logic
In 2007 it was all done through the Finnish Embassy so I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for the advice.
To the other guy it must be American ground radiation since I live a few thousand kilometres from the place. Thanks
