cheap, good, fast, choose two. As you seem to want cheap and good, the time is probably as long as it takes you to do it yourself.

I think it's something that you can fix by yourself, some cleaning (even with a vaccum) can give a better result .. is it affecting the pc functionning ?

Probably all self respecting smaller computer shops can help you, but here is couple of first hits from google with keywords hp, korjaus and helsinki:

Moi,

If you can clean fan yourself that is better and free. you can check youtube how to open your laptop. You fan has dust inside and it cannot send air out to cool processor. I had same problem and i open my laptop top and clear dust with a bursh around fan so it work fine after.

Canned air or just blowing inside might help too. But usually if there is noise, the fan is near the end of its life.

The fan itself doesn't cost much - its getting to it... (lots of small screws). As said, its probably full of dust and hairs entangled on the axle. Then again depending on the axle bearings (if there are any) a little oil can do magic. The manufacturers save a penny, so you can find the same specs better fan (laptops tend to have proprietary parts at times).

Which reminds me my Mac Mini's been doing this abominable sound now for a while. Last time I did try and install some filter, but I suppose its full of dust again. I think it might be the auxiliary HDD... winterclean time for the lot.

Hi.
FYI.
This is what happened to me.
A several years old Lenovo T61 got warm and the message "Fan Error" appeared.
Found out what the message means and then downloaded the disassemble instruction, too by Googling.
The fan is detached (it was quite clean) and I checked the code on it. Contacted Verkkokauppa and they said I needed a certain type of fan. The price 59,95€ and the delivery time 3 to 6 weeks. I waited one month but I kept on getting "The order is under process. This is not the confirmation of the order" repeatedly, so I cancelled the order and reinstalled the fan.
Somehow the laptop is working alright now.

Hey, I would also need a name for a repairshop for my HP laptop because it stopped working. The guarantee is gone because the laptop is over 3 years old. I tried to put it on, and while the lights on the keyboard went on as usual when i start the computer, the screen doesnt show anything, its just pich black! Where can i go and fix it, someplace thats cheap cause im a nonworking student!
