Hi Everyone!
My Name is Roberto and I currently live in Asturias (the north of spain), and if everything goes well, i'll be working in Helsinki due to the end of december of this year in IT.
So, any commendation about where to find a flat or a room? (I mean, which zone of the city is better for a start?)
Any good place to go out in the night?
Activities to do? (biking, snowboarding, etc?)
Thanks everyone!

Re: From Spain to Finland
Lets say "a zone that has good connections to where you work" crosstown traffic sucks, so you don't want to be "close" only to have to walk unless you want to go to a hub and then back - and as the trains are Spanish, they don't want to work in the winter when its too cold - you hear them sigh deeply, you know.
www.reittiopas.fi is good to start, it has an English interface. Then you can start to look at say www.oikotie.fi - you look at flat and house prices they give you an idea of what area is expensive...
