tax regarding freelance income, appreciate your help.

Hello,

I don't have a fixed job, however, I can earn a little bit money from some teaching activities. It is very few, around about 300 Euros/ month, just extra money.

However, I don't know about the local law regarding tax here.Do I need to pay the tax even though I get such a small amount of money from freelance teaching or casually babysitting?

If so, what I should do next? To get a tax card? Thanks a lot :)

You should get yourself a freelance tax card but I don't think you need to set up any kind of company eg toiminimi) and of course there is no need to charge VAT. But, if you are resident in Finland, you do have to declare all your income to the State.

Send an email to these people: www.intofinland.fi

and ask them for confirmation or contact http://www.tax.fi/en-US/Individuals/Req ... d_tax_card
