Dear all
Could you please tell me where to buy bed linen (includes bed sheet, quilt and pillow) and kitchen utensils (e.g. cooking pan, plates, knives) in Vaasa? No IKEA in Vaasa, absolutely no idea to buy these items. Thanks.

Anttila. Especially Kodin 1, Anttila.

Don't know if there's a Stockmanns in Vaasa. They're the expensive store.
Tarjous Talo.
Sotka would have bedding stuff.

Minimani, Halpa-Halli, probably also Jysk for pillows and duvets and such.
Note that Finns rarely do the quilt-with-a-loose-bedsheet thing (it’s considered old-fashioned; something your grandma might have done in the 1950s) but rather buy a duvet and tuck it inside a duvet cover (pussilakana in Finnish; literally a “bag sheet”.) So the sets of bedlinen they have in stores usually include a duvet cover.

They do have sometimes offers that might tempt me, but... is the quality really "quality stuff" level? I'm not going to go there unless I'm going to buy something, way too aggressive "customer service" for my taste.Julkka wrote:Hemtex if you want quality stuff.andttrip wrote:Dear all

The customer service is a matter of taste of course (works as time saving for me if I want smth specific, don't have to search). The quality is really very good.Upphew wrote:They do have sometimes offers that might tempt me, but... is the quality really "quality stuff" level?
