Hi everyone!
Ok a man has lived in Finland for 20 years and is a Eu citizen and has permanent residence in Finland. He meets a Non EU women here and they get married, she applies for residence permit as a family member, the police say they have to show income when she applies, the EU commission says that income requirement is not needed to be granted a residence permit as the husband has shown his right of residence by being a permanent resident. Who is right? And what is the difference with a finnish citizen who is not asked for income requirement?
Thanks!
EU or Police who is right?
Re: EU or Police who is right?
The European Commission doesn't say anything regarding the income requirement for Finnish Residence Permits, the relevant EU legislation is about Residence Cards.bm50 wrote:Ok a man has lived in Finland for 20 years and is a Eu citizen and has permanent residence in Finland. The EU law only applies when you are moving with the non-EU woman from another EU country and are getting an EU residence card.
