I am a Finnish citizen and I would like to ask something about family reunion. My parents (they don't have Finnish citizenship) leave in my former home country (EU country) and they are retired. I would like to bring my parents here to leave with me as they are old and I want to take care of them (old people's home is not an option for me because it's my responsibility to take care of them). So what is the procedure I have to follow to bring them here get them henkilötunnus, Kela card and so forth? Is this even possible? They are EU citizens and have a pension in my former home country.
Another thing I wanted to ask: We plan with my wife to have kids, can I hire my mother as nanny? I mean pay her a salary/month, taxes and all the stuff?
Thanks!

Re: Family reunion
As EU citizens they only have to show enough funds to support themselves to register their residency at the police:

Their pension should be enough for this. Getting personal id is documented here:

As they intend to move to Finland permanently they can get a Kela card:

There's no problem with hiring your mother as a nanny. As an employer you do need to take care of the legal stuff. For paying salary the government service palkka.fi helps:
