Don't be surprised if this takes long. There is no strict rule, but more history you have together, more believable your story is. How long history you have ?
You're from North Africa?

Re: question about the Finnish law-Alien act
Using a tourist visa to get married and applying for a residence permit qualifies the marriage as suspicious if there is no prior history of a relation.
It can take indeed a very long time before you get your RP.
And a refusal is not unthinkable.

There is no strict requirement. With your description I am left wondering though if you had even met "in real life" before the time she apparently traveled to marry you?yassine005 wrote:We don't have much history together and that's what worries me, We never lived together outside of Finland but We did met through the internet few months before we get married. So not much history together, might sound a bit hasty but that's the way it went as I explained before that We couldn't wait due to many reasons and my wife still refuses the fact that I go and apply from my country or that we wait for a while simply because she just wants me to be next to her. so We did apply for the residence permit and now am a bit worried cause wondering if it is necessary that we have lived outside of Finland or not

And how much you paid for possible visa for finland?
This is what immigration will think so get your story straight with paper trail = all your chat etc.
PS. I can marry one nice looking russian/SE asian if i can use marital rights etc for that 2 years what it takes to get full visa and of course she has to pay everything.
