Who to inform on traffic light issues

Post by Liam1 » Tue Oct 01, 2013 2:46 pm

Bit trivial perhaps, but is there a traffic dept that you e mail if traffic lights are badly programmed.

For the last fortnight there is a synchronisation problem in Kauneianen such that two sets of lights 25m apart on the main road in from the motorways/ring II are on exactly oppposite cycles i.e. red/green or green /red. Therefore in combination each cycle only lets the 4 cars in the 25m stretch of road through and holds the rest back. The first set of lights is controlling a very minor road (zer0 or 1 car per cycle) so it not's just me wanting priority!!

Lennart Långström vs. Lenni Pitkäjoki, chances that the first one is Swedish speaker are good.

36.9% of Kauniainen residents (Kauniainenians?) are Swedish-speaking, so it doesn't seem that unlikely that a person with a Swedish name would speak Swedish.

Well I'll know tomorrow, not that it matters so much as
1) Lennart Långström talar svenska eller
2) Lennart Långström will speak in English specifically to avoid speaking Swedish (something that I've found is that "reluctant" English speakers become less reluctant if you ask them whether they'd prefer Swedish :D )

But where do you find these?! Bet if Lennart had been called Håkan, you'd have found something just as relevant!!!!
Better add "relevant" as in names match - not that I tycker om Lennart !
