Hi,
I have been living in Finland for a while and have owned a couple of handguns. I may need to leave and get back to my own EU country but I would like to have my guns coming along.
I am looking for a gun store dealing with firearms transfers to other EU countries. I know that, transfering guns between dealers within EU is not as complicated as one may think... I just need to find one willing to do so
Any idea in the Tampere or Helsinki area?
Thanks!
handguns export to another EU country through dealers

Thanks. I knew about these already but what I don't know is if permanent transfert is possible with the pass. I mean, I could take my guns along but I would probably need to inform the Police about the permanent transfert.

Ah! True dat. You'll probably need paper from the target country and ase13 lomake here.

Thanks!
Getting all the paper work done is quite complicated if I do it myself, and probably quite long.
I know that some gun dealers have special licenses which should simplify the export to other gun dealers within the EU area. I just don't know one of them. In Tampere, I asked from one place and the person did not want to bother through the paper work.

Doesn't seem to be complicated, unless the country you are exporting to doesn't like the guns you are trying to export. Ase12 is the form that you fill if you import and ase13 if you export. In ase13 they expect to see paper like ase12 attached to application where the receiving country's police has given the ok to bring the guns. Dunno how hard it would be to get that paper where you are going to, but here you would need just that paper, fill the ase13 and get the guns to new address.
edit. euroase.fi sounds like they would know something about shifting guns around eu (so they probably wont

My SO says the paperwork is not complicated (he's done it all several times) and "it's all in English anyway". But, as the others have pointed out, it all depends where you're heading to.

Yup. The Finnish forms seemed quite straightforward to me. Would be the same if they are available in English. They would be hard if you don't know your name and address and guns you are going to move.

thanks guys. It's to go to France. I first need to be there for 6 months in a club, get the shooting federation license, then get the detention authorizations.
With the detention rights, I need to send 3 copies of what correspond to the ASE 13 to the French customs. After that, with both the customs paper and the detention authorizations, I need to get the ASE 12 from Finland. After that, shipping should be OK. The problem is that I will have to keep my guns in Finland for at least 6 months while I'll be in France...
Don't know where to keep these? in the local club or in a gun store...
